This is Whym, he was the first pose-able sculpture I ever made. I had just started college and was experimenting more with art and trying new techniques. He was my first go at a larger scale wire armature and when I completed him I was so proud. This dragon has been with me through it all, from taking him to Renaissance Festivals perched on my shoulder to sitting on my work desk while I brought other creatures to life. He was the beginning, and I’ve learned a lot since then. His creation sparked a joy and true love for sculpting within me and I will always thank him for that.
